I’ve been a bit quiet on here lately but I’m back now after the summer and back to help you make and save money whilst running around the kids.
So we’re halfway through September already, I just can’t believe how fast the summer went. My daughter started school this month so we spent the holiday doing lots of fun things and making the most of the time together.
Where have we been
I wanted to make as many memories for my daughter before she started school full time. We had lots of fun and every day was packed full of activities which didn’t break the bank. Its surprising how many free or cheap activities you can do over the summer. We went on lots of picnics with friends, enjoyed trips to the park, forest and seeing lots of animals on our travels. We spent a few days indoors too, making cakes, painting pictures and playing in the garden. We were so lucky to have such a hot summer so made the most of the sunshine. We also had a week away in a caravan in Great Yarmouth which the kids loved. There was so much for the kids to do on the campsite so we didn’t have to venture too far to have fun.
Although I have had a break from the blog over the summer, I was still side hustling wherever possible. I always try and make money around the kids and thats what I love to share with you too. The easiest ones were
Mystery shopping – most mystery shopping jobs I do are lunchtime assignments which works perfectly as I can take the kids with me and we can all have a free lunch.
Matched betting – although I haven’t done as much of this over the summer, I still made some extra income by doing a few bets each week. I do this once the kids are in bed and I get a bit of peace in the evening. Its such an easy way to make money.
Selling – I have sold a few things on Facebook selling sites over the summer. Mainly just kids clothes that don’t fit anymore. A few pounds here and there and it all adds up.
I’m back and ready to help you all with money making and money saving ideas. I have lots of new ideas to share with you and looking forward to helping you, especially in the run up to Christmas which is creeping up on us! If you have anything you want me to help you with, just let me know in the comments.
