Cammas Hall fruit farm, on the Essex/Hertfordshire border, is a great place to go for a day out with the kids or just to pick fresh fruit. In the summer they have so many berries to choose from and I love their strawberries. In October they have their pumpkin patch ready which is good fun, the kids love it and you can pick your own pumpkin for Halloween.
Cammas Hall have all their pumpkins ready picked and they are carefully guarded by scarecrows! The kids love it and are fascinated by the sight of so many pumpkins. The pumpkins vary in size, some are huge and you’d need a wheelbarrow to get it back to your car! You can choose any of these to take home with you which makes it so easy and so many to choose from.
There is a great outdoor play area for the kids and a nice tea barn so you can get a cup of tea or coffee to warm you up when you’re out in the cold.
The fruit picking is closed this time of year but you can still pick sweetcorn. Its good fun searching for the perfect corn and these are very reasonably priced too at just 50p each.
Cammas Hall have lots of Halloween themed activities for this kids. These include face painting, Halloween masks and even a themed maize mask. So plenty of things to do when you’re there.
The day we went. it was so windy and cold but we still had a great afternoon. If you want a free day out, this is perfect for you. You don’t need to buy a pumpkin and you can still have a nice time without spending a penny.
